Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. shortening or 1 1/2 sticks margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 3 c. self-rising flour

Directions

    Have everything at room temperature.

    Cream sugar and margarine.

    Beat eggs; add to sugar-margarine mixture along with vanilla and milk.

    Add flour, small amount at a time.

    Bake at 350° until light brown around edge, 15 or 20 minutes.

    I use aluminum oven liners, greased.

    Drop by teaspoon, 20 cookies per sheet.

    Makes 80.
