  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. steak sauce
  • 1 to 2 chili powder
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 c. (1 lb. can) tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • shredded lettuce
  • chopped tomato
  • grated cheese
  • large corn chips

Directions

    Melt butter in skillet, saute celery, onion, green pepper and cook until tender.

    Add meat, salt, pepper, steak sauce and chili powder.

    Brown.

    Add canned tomatoes, tomato sauce and sugar. Simmer 30 minutes until thick.

    Serve over corn chips, topped with cheese, lettuce and tomatoes.
