  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon extract

Directions

    Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs, beating well. Add flour, mixing well. Stir in lemon extract.

    Drop batter by level teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 8 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool.
