- 2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 1/4 c. butter
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Toast pecans in 1/4 cup butter at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Sift flour with baking powder and salt.

2Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, blending well.

3Add dry ingredients, alternating with milk.

4Stir in vanilla and 1 1/3 cups pecans. Bake in 3 (8 or 9-inch) pans at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
