Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • powdered sugar

Directions

    Mix all ingredients together, except pecans and powdered sugar, and spread in a 15 x 11-inch pan.

    Whip egg white into soft peaks and spread over batter.

    Sprinkle with chopped pecans over batter. Bake in a 325° oven for 30 to 35 minutes.

    Cut after 15 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
