Ingredients

  • 1 (9-inch) chocolate wafer crust
  • 1 qt. vanilla ice cream
  • 1 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 small can evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. instant coffee
  • 1/2 pt. whipping cream
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. instant coffee, dissolved in 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Melt chocolate and butter over low heat.

    Stir in sugar, milk and 1 1/2 teaspoons instant coffee.

    Cook until thick; chill. Fill shell with ice cream; spread chocolate sauce on top.

    Spoon on cream which has been whipped with sugar, vanilla and coffee. Freeze and top with chocolate curls.
