- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1-7/8 c. flour
- 6 milk chocolate bars
- 1 c. chopped and toasted almonds or pecans
Directions

1In mixing bowl cream together butter and brown sugar until light.

2Add egg yolk and vanilla, gradually beating in flour until smooth and blended (dough will be thick).

3Spread evenly on an ungreased jelly roll pan (cookie sheet with sides).

4Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown and puffy.

5Remove from oven.

6Arrange chocolate bars evenly over surface, let set 5 minutes to soften.

7Spread chocolate and sprinkle top with chopped nuts.
