Ingredients

  • 1 pack tofu (drain water well and cut into bite sized pieces)
  • 10 cm Japanese leek (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp *sugar
  • 2 tbsp *soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp *sake
  • 2 tbsp *mirin

Directions

    Heat the sesame oil in a pan and sear the tofu on both sides until golden brown.
  2. 2
    Add the *Sauce ingredients and bring to a simmer, shaking the pan from time to time and basting the tofu with a spoon until the sauce thickens and glaze the tofu.

    Serve with chopped Japanese leek and crushed chili pepper on top.
