  • 2 pound round steak
  • 1 med. onion, minced
  • 1 (15 ounce.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (10 ounce.) can tomatoes and green chilies
  • 6 c. water
  • 1/4 c. veg. oil
  • 1/2 c. all-purpose flour

Directions

    Cut round steak into cubes and brown in small amount of oil.

    Add in finely minced onion and cook till onions are tender.

    Add in tomato sauce, tomatoes and green chilies, and water.

    In a separate pot over medium heat brown flour and oil to a copper brown color to make roux.

    Add in to the sauce and cook for about 1 hour or possibly till meat is tender.

    Serve over rice.
