- 1 package Caramels, 12 Oz. Package (like Kraft)
- 1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix, 18-20 Ounce Size
- Additional Required Ingredients Specified On Your Cake Box (typically Water, Eggs And Oil)
- 3/4 cups Butter
- 1/2 cups Evaporated Milk
- 1 cup Pecans, Chopped
- 1 cup Frozen Chocolate Chips

1Preheat oven to 350 F. Unwrap caramels and get ready to melt them. Set aside.

2Mix cake batter according to directions on the box. Spread half of the cake batter into a greased and floured 9x13 pan and bake at 350 F for 15 minutes.

3While cake is baking, melt the butter, caramels and milk in a medium size saucepan on the stove at medium heat stirring constantly.

4When done, remove cake from oven. Pour caramel mixture over cake, sprinkle 3/4 of the nuts over this; sprinkle chocolate chips over the top of the nuts. Pour remaining cake batter over the top, smooth it out and sprinkle with remaining nuts. Bake an additional 20-25 minutes.
