- 10 slices white bread, cut off crusts and save
- 2 c. cooked chicken, diced
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded (8 oz.)
- 1 c. mayonnaise
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Saute celery and onion.

2Combine bread crusts, chicken, celery, onion and 1 3/4 cups cheese.

3Mix well.

4Put in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

5Arrange bread slices over chicken mix. Combine mayonnaise, eggs, seasoning and gradually add milk until well blended.

6Pour over bread and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight.

7Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes at 325° or until it browns.

8Makes 6 to 8 servings.
