- 100 grams unsalted butter
- 300 ml Milk
- 350 grams Castor sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions

1Line 18cm baking tray or grease with oil.

2Melt butter, sugar and milk in saucepan ( stirring all the time ) and bring to boil once melted ( keep stirring )

3Continue to stir until it turns light brown, after 10-15 min or just when it starts to brown ( reaches softball stage ) then set aside to cool for 5 min

4When cooled, stir in vanilla extract until lovely golden brown

5Pour into baking tray then cool at room temperature ( dont put into fridge ) .

6Cut into squares when set.
