- 4 medium carrots, sliced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 c. chopped celery
- 1 small cabbage, chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
- 5 c. water
- 4 beef bouillon cubes
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 3 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 bay leaf
Directions

1Saute meat until brown; drain.

2In large pot, add all ingredients.

3Bring to boil.

4Cover and simmer until vegetables are tender.
