Venison Chili

  • 2 lb. ground venison
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 lb. dry pinto beans
  • 1 pt. tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 small can tomato paste

Directions

    Soak beans.

    Place in roaster with enough water to cover plus 1 inch over.

    Cook until almost tender, about 2 hours. Meanwhile, brown meat and onion in oil.

    Add this and all other ingredients to beans and return to oven for 1 hour.
