- 1 large onion
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 lb. dry pinto beans
- 1 pt. tomatoes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 small can tomato paste
Directions

1Soak beans.

2Place in roaster with enough water to cover plus 1 inch over.

3Cook until almost tender, about 2 hours. Meanwhile, brown meat and onion in oil.

4Add this and all other ingredients to beans and return to oven for 1 hour.
