Venison Round Steak

- 2 round steaks (about 3/4-inch thick, about 1 1/2 lb.)
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1/2 c. sour cream
Directions

1Wipe steaks clean with damp cloth.

2Combine flour, salt and pepper and pound well into the steak.

3Brown both sides of steak and any remaining seasoned flour slowly in the heated butter.

4Add 1/4 cup of water.

5Cover and simmer slowly, adding the rest of the water as needed, 1 to 2 hours.

6Add onion and celery and cook until tender.

7Stir in the sour cream and cook 2 minutes longer. Serve at once.
