  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 12 cups water
  • 12 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 14 cups sugar
  • 13 cup flour
  • 12 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 baked pie shell, cooled

Directions

    In saucepan, combine beaten egg yolks with water, vinegar and melted butter.

    Mix sugar and flour together and stir into egg mixture, mixing until lumps are gone.

    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a boil and cooks thick.

    Add lemon extract and stir.

    Let cool, then pour into baked cooled pie shell.

    Chill until ready to serve.
