Ingredients

  • pastry (enough for double crust pie, made with butter flavor Crisco)
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. minus 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. water

Directions

    Roll pastry into rectangle.

    Slice butter and scatter pats all over pastry.

    Sprinkle with cinnamon.

    Roll pastry as you would for a jelly roll, starting on long side of rectangle.

    Curve roll around inside greased 2 1/2-quart baking dish.

    Mix sugar, vinegar and water.

    Pour over roll.

    Bake at 350° for 35 minutes or until slightly browned and syrup is bubbly and beginning to thicken. Serve as is or with heavy cream.
