Ingredients

  • 2 smoked ham hocks
  • 2 c. dry navy beans, soaked overnight
  • 1 qt. diced potatoes
  • 2 c. tomatoes
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 c. corn
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Boil the first 5 ingredients in 3 quarts of water for 1 hour. Add corn, sugar, butter and salt and pepper to taste.

    Boil 20 minutes and then add 1 cup milk before serving.
