- 3 c. nutmeats, chopped fine
- 6 eggs, separated
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Beat the egg yolk until very light; add the sugar gradually and beat well.

2Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt; add the nuts and then combine with egg mixture.

3Beat well.

4Stir in the stiffly beaten egg whites and vanilla.

5Bake in 2 layer cake tins in a moderate 350° oven from 30 to 40 minutes.
