- 2 sticks butter
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. walnut meats
- 1/4 c. raisins
- 3 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- pinch of nutmeg
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- grated rind of 1 orange
- 1/4 tsp. lemon extract
- 1/4 tsp. orange extract
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Cream butter.

2Beat in slowly sugar; add eggs, unbeaten, one at a time.

3Put nutmeg and raisins through food chopper and add the flour, sifted with salt, nutmeg and baking powder.

4Add to the mixture with the milk.

5Stir orange rind and flavorings.

6Pour into a large 10-inch pound cake pan and bake at 300° for 1 hour.
