- 1/2 c. walnut pieces
- 1 1/3 c. lightly packed brown sugar
- 1 c. butter
- 3 sq. semi-sweet chocolate, grated or 1 chocolate bar, broken into pieces
Directions

1Butter a 9-inch square pan thoroughly. Spread the walnuts in the pan.

2Mix together in heavy frypan the brown sugar and butter. Cook over medium heat (keep mixture bubbling), stirring constantly, for 12 minutes.

3Pour toffee mixture quickly over nuts. Sprinkle the grated chocolate or chocolate bar over the hot toffee. Spread until smooth.

4Sprinkle nuts on top. Chill and break into pieces.
