  • Makes 6 to 8 servings
  • 1 lb dried white beans (cannellini, navy, Great Northern, or lima) washed, picked over, and soaked if you like
  • 20 fresh sage leaves or 1 Tablespoon dried
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tsps minced garlic, or more to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, or more to taste
