White Fruit Salad

Ingredients

  • 3 slightly beaten eggs
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 lb. marshmallows
  • 1 pkg. Knox gelatine, softened in 1/4 c. cold water
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 1 can fruit cocktail
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. whipped cream

Directions

    Add to the eggs the sugar and vinegar. Cook in double boiler until thick. Add the marshmallows and gelatine.

    Remove from fire and stir until marshmallows begin to melt.

    Add the cans of fruit, undrained, the nuts and the whipped cream.

    Let chill in refrigerator (not freezer).

    Slice and serve as salad on lettuce or as dessert with whipped cream.
