  • 2 cups canned no-salt-added chicken broth, undiluted
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup wild rice, uncooked
  • 1/2 cup brown rice, uncooked
  • 3 tablespoons pine nuts, toasted
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried whole basil
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

    Combine first 4 ingredients in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes. Stir in toasted pine nuts and remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer an additional 15 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
