- 1 Lamb shanks, or shoulder, cuts, or leftover leg
- 1 flour to coat, mixed with salt, pep, and garlic
- 6 cups Water
- 6 Beef bullion cubes
- 1 Onion, large chop
- 3 ribs Celery, sliced
- 6 Carrots, large chunks
- 1 tsps. each Rosemary, Thyme, Pepper, Oregano, Margoram, Garlic powder
- 3/4 cup raw Rice or Barley
Directions

1In fry pan add 1 tbs.

2Oil.

3Heat on high, add floured meat.

4Brown both sides.

5This may need to be done in 2 batches.

6In Crockpot, add water and beef cubes.

7Add vegs., and spices.

8Add meat, with drippings.

9Stir and cook 3 hrs.

10covered on High.

11Add raw rice.

12Stir.

13Cook additional hr., till rice is soft.

14Adjust seasonings and serve with biscuits or crusty bread.
