- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 3/4 c. warm water
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. cold water
- 1 egg, beaten
- 8 to 9 c. flour, sifted
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Pour boiling water over butter, sugar, cold water, egg and yeast.

3Stir.

4Add flour and salt. Knead and place in greased bowl.

5Let rise until double in bulk. Knead and shape into rolls or loaf.

6Let rise again and bake for 20 minutes at 350°.

7Brush with butter after removing from oven.
