  • 2 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 tsp. dried dill weed
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton plain yogurt
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg

    Grease an 8-inch tube pan.

    In a large bowl, stir together 1 cup flour, yeast and dill weed; set aside.

    In medium saucepan, heat and stir the yogurt, sugar, water, butter and salt just until warm (120° to 130°) and butter almost melts.

    Add to flour mixture. Add egg.

    Beat with electric mixer on low to medium for 30 seconds, scraping sides of bowl. Beat on high for 3 minutes. Stir in remaining flour.

    Spoon batter into pan. Cover and let rise, about 30 minutes. Bake at 375° for 35 to 40 minutes.
