Ahi With Thai Dipping Sauce Recipe

  • 4 x , 6 oz Ahi, steaks
  • 1 Tbsp. Peppercorns, white, cracked
  • 1 Tbsp. Sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp Kosher (coarse) salt
  • 1/3 c. Lime juice
  • 3 Tbsp. Soy sauce, dark
  • 1 Tbsp. Fish sauce
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Jalapeno peppers, diced

    For the rub......in a small saucepan combine the peppercorns, salt and sesame seeds.

    Roast this mix till the seeds are lightly toasted, about 5 min.

    For the sauce....whisk together all other ingredients.

    Lightly oil both sides of the Ahi and sprinkle on the rub.

    Press lightly into flesh.

    Grill over high, direct heat.

    Sear each side about 1-2 min.

    Serve with individual portions of the sauce.
