  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 1 lb. whole almonds
  • 2 giant Hershey bars
  • 8 oz. slivered almonds

Directions

    Melt butter and sugar, stirring constantly, until lemon pudding like consistency.

    Continue cooking (it will separate) until smooth caramel color (hard crack stage).

    Put in whole almonds.

    Pour into greased pan (cookie sheet).

    Spread.

    Sprinkle slivered almonds on top.

    Put in freezer.

    Take out just before serving.

    Break into pieces.
