Ingredients

  • 1 kg pork belly
  • 200 grams leafy vegetables, (kangkong or spinach)
  • 3 tbsp fish sauce
  • 200 grams long string green beans cut into 2 inch lenght
  • 1 cup or 2 medium sized tomato (quartered)
  • 3 pieces long green pepper
  • 2 liter water or rice water
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 1 packages sinigang mix

Directions

    In a saucepan, bring water, tomatoes and onions to a boil.

    Simmer for 5 minutes.

    Add green beans, green pepper and fish sauce to taste.

    Cover and simmer for 5 minutes again.

    Pour in sinigang mix.

    Increase the heat and bring toa boil.

    Add the pork.

    Simmer for 40 minutes in a low medium heat until the pork is tenderly cooked.

    Turn off the heat and add the leafy vegetables.

    Cover to cook.
