- 1 can apple pie filling
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2/3 c. cooking oil
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Spread pie filling in bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan.

2Combine flour, sugar, soda and salt.

3Sprinkle over pie filling.

4In mixing bowl, combine eggs, vanilla, oil and 1/2 cup nuts.

5Mix well.

6Pour over ingredients in pan.

7Stir only until blended.

8Smooth batter evenly in pan.

9Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes, until cake springs back when lightly touched in center.

10Prick warm cake with fork.

11Pour hot topping over warm cake.

12Sprinkle with 1/4 cup nuts.
