  • 2 tsp. soda

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. applesauce
  • 1 c. pie apples (canned)

    Cream shortening and sugar gradually and mix well.

    Beat the eggs into the creamed ingredients.

    Add sifted dry ingredients and chopped nuts.
