  • 8 oz. lasagne noodles
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. dried, crushed sweet basil
  • 1 tsp. parsley garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. leaf oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 2 c. creamed cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Directions

    Cook lasagne noodles as directed on package.

    Brown beef with onion in skillet. Add tomato paste, tomato sauce, garlic salt, basil, oregano, 1/8 teaspoon pepper and water.

    Simmer 1/2 hour. Combine cottage cheese, egg and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.

    In a 12 x 8-inch baking dish, alternate layers of noodles, cottage cheese mixture, meat mixture and Mozzarella cheese, ending with cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand 15 minutes before serving.
