Baked Wild Rice

- 1 c. raw wild rice
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can consomme
- 1 (3 oz.) can sliced, broiled mushrooms
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Directions

1Wash rice thoroughly.

2Place in greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Add undiluted consomme and liquid from mushrooms.

3Let stand 3 hours.

4Set oven at 350°.

5Cover casserole and bake 45 minutes, adding a little water if rice becomes too dry.

6Heat mushrooms in butter.

7Remove rice from oven, lower heat to 300°.
-
8Stir mushrooms and butter into rice.
-
9Return to oven and bake, uncovered, until all liquid is absorbed.

10Makes 4 servings.
