Balsamic Chard Recipe
3 ingredients
7 steps
Ingredients
- 1 bn ( 1-1.5 lb) of swiss chard (or possibly greens of choice)
- 1 x 2 tomatoes, minced (or possibly one cn Minced tomatoes)
- 1 x 2 Tablespoons balsamic vinegar Freshly cracked black pepper To taste
Directions
-
1Wash the chard and chop or possibly tear into peices, discarding tough stems.
-
2Saute/fry tomatoes over medium heat in large skillet till cooked to desired consistancy, 5-15 minutes.
-
3(I like mine on the soft side).
-
4Add in vinegar, chard and water if needed.
-
5Cover and steam vegetables till cooked to desired doneness, 5-15 minutes.
-
6Check occasionally to be sure there is sufficient water in the pan.
-
7Cooking time for tomatoes and greens depends on how tough the greens are, smaller, younger leaves will be more tender; and how well cooked you like the vegetables.
