Basic Garlic Bread

  • 1 Large Loaf French Bread (Wheat Or White)
  • 1/2 cups Softened Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Paprika
  • 1 Tablespoon Dried Parsley Flakes
  • 2 Tablespoons Grated Parmesan Cheese

    Preheat oven to 375°F.

    Cut the French bread. It can be cut in half lengthwise, cut into quarters, or cut into thick slices, however you prefer.

    Soften the butter by letting it sit out before using it or by putting it in the microwave for just a few seconds. Spread the butter over the bread with a spatula.

    Then sprinkle the garlic powder over the butter. Using the spatula, spread the garlic powder evenly over the bread.

    Next, sprinkle the paprika over the butter and garlic and spread it evenly over the bread. Add the parsley flakes and spread evenly over the top of the bread.

    Top with the grated parmesan cheese and lightly spread it over the top of the bread.

    Wrap the garlic bread in foil and set on a cookie sheet. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes then open the foil up so garlic bread will toast. Continue baking in the oven for another 5 to 8 minutes until the bread is hot all the way through and the top is slightly toasted.

    Serve hot right out of the oven.
