  • 2/3 c. warm water
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 2/3 c. flour

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in water.

    Add sugar, salt, shortening, egg and 1 cup flour; mix well.

    Add remaining flour.

    Beat until smooth. Spoon in greased muffin tins.

    Let rise 30 to 40 minutes. Bake at 375° for 18 to 20 minutes.
