  • 1 1/2 lb. round steak (or stew meat)
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 4 oz. mushrooms, sliced or pieces
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1 can beef broth or 3 bouillon cubes in 3 c. water
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • dash of pepper

Directions

    Cut meat into thin strips; dust with flour and pepper.

    In a large skillet brown meat in butter.

    Add drained mushrooms, onion and garlic; brown lightly.

    Stir in beef broth.

    Cover and cook 1 hour, stirring now and then.

    Gradually stir in sour cream; cook over low heat for 5 minutes.

    Serve over noodles or rice.
