  • 3 1/2 sticks margarine or butter
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. allspice
  • 2 tsp. cloves (you can omit and use more allspice)
  • 2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 can blackberries (juice and all)

    Mix ingredients all together.

    Bake in three 9-inch greased and floured cake pans or one 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Bake at 375° until done.
