Bread Pudding

  • 2 1/8 cups milk
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 3/8 cups bread crumbs white, I used sliced bread
  • 8 eggs
  • caramel sauce to taste

Directions

    Boil the milk with the vanilla and sugar, pour over the bread crumbs.

    Let cool slightly, and run through the blender.

    Beat 4 egg whites until stiff.

    Add 8 egg yolks, and stiff egg whites to warm milk mixture.

    Mix everything very well.

    Pour the mixture in a baking pan greased with liquid caramel.

    Bake in a pan with water. Once the pudding is cooked, let cool, and unmold.
