Breaded Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • 1 can (28 oz.) whole tomatoes in juice
  • 2 to 3 c. seeded rye bread, torn in bite size pieces
  • 1 large onion, cut up
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. oleo
  • Mrs. Dash

Directions

    Saute onion in oleo until light brown. Cut up tomatoes and put in Pyrex casserole dish.

    Add sauteed onions.

    Sprinkle Mrs. Dash over tomatoes.

    Melt about 1/2 cube of oleo in saucepan.

    Add torn up bread.

    When coated good, put on top of tomatoes.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes or until bubbly and bread is sort of toasted on top.
