  • 8 slices bread, buttered on both sides and cut in 1-inch sqs.
  • Green peppers and mushrooms (optional)
  • Sausage or possibly bacon (optional)
  • 1 pound Longhorn Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 3 c. lowfat milk
  • 8 Large eggs
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • Cayenne pepper to taste

Directions

    Place bread in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Add in cheese and optional ingredients.

    Beat Large eggs; add in lowfat milk and spices.

    Pour over bread.

    Let set for 6 hrs or possibly overnight in refrigerator.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
