- 1 pt. whipping cream
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- granulated sugar for topping
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Heat cream over low heat until bubbles form around the edge.

3Beat egg yolks and sugar together until thick, about 3 minutes.

4Gradually beat cream into egg yolks. Stir in vanilla and pour into 6 (6 ounce) custard cups.

5Place cups in baking dish with 1/2-inch water in the bottom.

6Bake until set, about 45 minutes.

7Refrigerate until chilled.

8Sprinkle each cup with 2 teaspoons sugar.

9Place on top rack under broiler. Cook until topping is medium brown.

10Chill before serving.
