- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. Crisco
- buttermilk
Directions

1Work first 6 ingredients together real good.

2Make a hole in flour, then add buttermilk (enough to take up all the flour, but enough to knead a little bit).

3Then put out on pastry sheet. Knead just enough to flatten with hand.

4Don't overwork.

5Then cut and bake at 425° until light brown.

6When taken from oven, put butter on top and cover for 6 minutes.

7Serve.
