Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 medium-size cabbage head
  • boiling water
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 medium onions, minced
  • 2 to 3 stalks celery
  • garlic (buds or powder)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. rice
  • 1 egg
  • little hot catsup (for seasoning)
  • 1 large can sauerkraut
  • little small smoked sausage
  • 1 (No. 2) can stewed tomatoes

Directions

    Put cabbage head in boiling water for a few minutes; set aside and drain, just enough to separate leaves.

    Mix all these things together and fold into cabbage leaves.

    Place sauerkraut in bottom of pan or casserole.
  4. 4
    Add cabbage rolls on top.

    Lay little small smoked sausage around through pan and sprinkle a little red pepper seeds through pan.

    Pour stewed tomatoes over top of everything. Cook on top of stove slowly or bake in oven for 2 to 2 1/2 hours at 300°.
