  • 1/4 head medium cabbage, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium Jalapeno, sliced (remove seeds for less heat)
  • 4 large garlic cloves, finely diced or crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 2 large vegetarian bouillon cubes
  • 6-8 cups water
  • 2 handfuls dry beans, any variety, washed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
