Cabbage Supreme Casserole

  • 1 medium head cabbage
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 2/3 c. shredded cheese
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp. chili sauce
  • 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped

Directions

    Cut cabbage in small wedges and cook in boiling, salted water until tender.

    Drain cabbage and place in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch casserole.

    To prepare white sauce, melt butter in saucepan; blend in flour, salt and pepper.

    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly. Pour white sauce over cabbage; bake at 375° for 20 minutes.
