- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. quick cooking oats
- 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 3/4 c. butter, softened
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 3/4 c. Caramel Topping
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease a 9-inch square pan.

3Combine flour, oats, sugar, butter, baking soda and salt in a large mixing bowl.

4Blend until crumbly.

5Reserve half of the crumb mixture. Press remaining crumb mixture in prepared pan and bake 10 minutes. Remove and sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts on top of crust. Stir flour into caramel topping.

6Drizzle over chips and nuts. Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture and bake 15 minutes. Cool 1 to 2 hours before cutting.

7Refrigerate.

8May double recipe and bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

9Makes 1 1/2 dozen bars.
