- 2 1/4 c. boiling water
- 1/2 c. quick cooking hominy grits
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 stick butter (margarine)
- 1 roll garlic cheese (this is hard to find, I use American cheese and garlic powder, however much you wish to use)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Cook grits in boiling water; add salt and margarine.

2Add cheese (cheese and garlic) and stir together until cheese melts. Beat egg in milk and add to grits.

3Pour into buttered baking dish.

4Dash with Tabasco sauce.

5Sprinkle with crushed cornflakes. Bake at 400° until brown.
