  • 2 pkg. refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg, separated
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • powdered sugar (optional)

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Line a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with 1 package crescent rolls.

    Pinch perforations and edges of rolls together to seal well.

    In a small bowl, beat together sugar, vanilla, cream cheese, egg yolk and lemon juice. Spread mixture over rolls.

    Cover with other package of rolls.

    Beat egg white slightly and brush over rolls.

    Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

    Cool completely.

    Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.

    Cut into bars or squares.
